If ALL you players hit over 800, you will not be AAA for long.
And you shouldn't lose a game.
I have played and coached for over 40 years and NEVER have I seen a team in AAA that everyone hit over 800.
Good luck
Coop

Especially if you keep the averages correctly.

Curt will be a great pick up for any team. He can play anywhere, will always be at each tournament and will get along with teammates.
I wish he didn't live in KY or we would have him on our team.

PS He has played for me in the past and enjoyed all the time we played together. (we played out of TN then)

Discussion: Need help with a rule

Situation:

Batter hits line drive to 3rd base, he catches it by his foot but his gloves comes off and lands on the ground with the ball inside it. (He picks up ball out of the glove and throws to first, but runner beats the throw)
I say it was a live ball and batter is safe.
Some people say it was an out because the ball never hit the ground.
Please let me know if I am correct or not.
Thanks

Hey
There is a program out there for each and every scenario.
It doesn't have to handle 800 teams, just handle EACH bracket which is mostly less than 100 teams.
If worse comes to worse, just have the director at each park take a picture of the filled out bracket a couple of times during the day and at the end of each day and post it on the website.
Problem solved...lol
easy and doesn't cost any money. Just a few minutes of their time.
Just my 2 cents

Guys and girls,
If you are trying to get on a team for just a tournament or fulltime,
It would help you and the team looking if you would list the following.
Especially in senior ball, this information is needed.

Name
Phone number
email address
Where you live (which state)
Your age
What position you play
If you are looking for full time or just a pick up

I see too many time that someone posts to get picked up and leaved NO information.
I am always looking to find new players that just moved close, but its hard to when no information is left.
Make it easier for a team to get in touch with you and this might help you find a team sooner.

Just my 2 cents

I NEVER complain about who we play.
We played the same team 3 times 3 years ago, (we all joked about it)
I was just making a suggestion.

I'm just glad we get to play in a tournament with more than 3 teams

Just a suggestion
if you have a 36 team bracket with 2 pods...
You have 18 teams in each pod
Why don't you play:

(Not including the champions seeding)

pod A #1 vs pod B #18
Pod B #1 vs Pod A #18

Pod A #2 vs Pod B # 17
Pod B #2 vs Pod A #17
etc etc

That would solve the problem of playing the same team again that you played in RR.

Just an idea.

Discussion: Southern Nationals

MCK71 and Tim,
This is about Darrell Harris and Associates.

The reason we only play in a few SSUSA tournaments is that are are very few in the southeast.
SSUSA should take in consideration of the other associations that we play in.
Some of us already travel 5-8 hours to every tournament we play in. As a team its hard to have to fly all over the country to play so we play where we can.
We will try and travel more next year to play more SSUSA, but as most teams, it is hard to afford long trips every month.
We play in the ones that we can.
We were 2-16 this year in major when I sent in the paper work to get moved back to AAA (was denied)
We played another tournament where we were mixed with AAA (in ISA) and won that tournament.
We played in the Southern Nationals and won 2 games. (came in 2nd out of 3)
We average 2 hrs a game and average 12-16 runs a game. (that is a good AAA team, not a major team.
Just because we played well in Vegas and made it to Sunday last year, we got moved up.
We are a very good AAA team and should be playing in AAA in Vegas. We have had less than 4 major teams in every tournament we have played in this year. (DT express and our team are usually the only major teams and they have beaten us more than we have beaten them.)
I agree that teams need to move up when they dominate divisions, but just because you have one good season, don't penalize a team for doing well.
Give a team 2 seasons to play and see if they are really that good or if they just played well in one year.
We got denied for Vegas again (after the Southern Nationals) to be moved down to AAA so we will go and compete in the major division.
I personally think we can compete with any team any at anytime if we are playing our best so we will see what happens in Vegas.
Have a great day

Hey SSUSA
This tournament is this weekend. (Southern Nationals)
Why isn't there anything on the message board about it?
We have our times, but it seems that SSUSA doesn't want to promote this tournament and I can't understand.
We would like to build up tournaments in the southeast area so we can have places to play.
Please put the info on the message board so other teams can see this and maybe next year it will get bigger.
They are great turf fields to pay on.

Dave
Page 24 rule 4.4 section A..
In Summery...
If a teams begins play with the required number of players, that team may continue a game with one less player than it started with provide no eligible sub is available, whenever a player leaves the game for any reason other than ejection.

Section C seems to say just the opposite.

Please explain

Thanks
