Discussion: Tribute to Kenny Messick - Springfield Redwings

Softball has lost a special person and player in Kenny Messick of the Springfield, Mo. Redwings. Kenny recently passed of a heart attack on August 13th at the young age of 60. His smile, encouraging word, injury remedies, outstanding love of the game, his play and love of the team will always be on our hearts and minds. We do not know when life here on earth will cease to be....Kenny would have you know that life eternal spent with Jesus Christ is better than anything you could image.

Discussion: Hydration in dugouts during tournament games

Played in a tournament in St. Louis recently, high temps on the playing field, no water provided in the dugout by the tournament director. This occurred at a tournament in St. Louis last season also. If these tournaments are sanctioned SSUSA, should this issue be settled once and for all, provision of water in the dugouts is a basic courtesy to players. The lack of water in the dugouts is really down right rude. SSUSA sanctioned tournaments should require this basic need.
