I'm talking to a friend and just heard that the ASA over 45 in Alabama was cancelled. Lack of teams apparently. From what they are telling me they are in a fight with Travelocity for their airfare. If true WOW. THere were 17 teams in GA last year.

I found out the night before I was leaving to attend
that the tournament was cancelled.
I can't believe they can do that after all the expense
and planning on so many levels.
Courtesy Auto from Southern California
managed to get the tickets credited to the individual players and is looking for another tournament to apply them to but I still can't believe it happened.
Also, who besides me thinks it's not a good idea to have a tournament near the water in Alabama in September.
I remember from geography that it's hurricane season
at worst and can rain it's ass off, anytime it wants.

California is the place to play in the summer time and into the fall because it never rains here during those seasons
and with Field of Dreams just completed in Manteca which is one hour from the Airport
maybe we can lure more tournaments in our direction
during hurricane season in the future.

I hear that Seattle is lovely around this time of year and by coincedence they have a 40 division going next week. According to the posts I'm reading nobody wants to play in Seattle though to far away.

Hey guys ,dothan is not that close to the beach, the water park next to the feilds are tempting. As for rain we here in the south are in a rain deficit. I think it was canceled because there are other tourneys that are closer to home. Plus i feel that most guys in this age group are plying with younger teams .Thats my 2cents worth.
