usssa bats
TRI 18 Have you tested any usssa bats with the new stamps? I am an Easton fan for durability and pop but had a Z2000 which was not the bad batch and broke in 30 swings and just recieved it back after 2-month's waiting. Have you tested the Mizuno,Miken,Easton's?

The talk around here is that the new Miken Psycho is fantastic, sometimes failing the compression test new out of the wrapper.

King,
I have indeed tested a bunch of the new usssa bats and am ongoing in the effort. I am working with Reeboks new 2 piece model now. To date , Miken is the front runner with both the Rev x and the Psyco. Their Triad is also a great bat and is tops in durability. The rev x and Psyco both deliver outstanding performance with a cheaper price tag and a warranty. FYI...the Psyco only comes in an end load while the Rev x has both a balanced and end loaded version. Just got in some Legits and BJ Fulks as well and will be testing them soon. If you need anything or have more questions get with me.

Tri18, Give me your impression of the new Miken 2 piece endload. Have read many posts and some are contradictory. Thanks, Ron

Ron,
The very first batch of the senior 2 piece end load were ok but nothing special. There were a few handle problems and miscellaneous issues. After that....the bat began to take hold as a solid performer. Remember...it took the place of the red one piece bat that had totally different characteristics. Hot hot , hot out of the wrapper and even more so as you swang it and then ....POW! It blew up in pieces. This 2 piece will get to the same good performance levels but it will take a bit more break in. Don't expect it to feel and act like the red bat. It's a totally different animal being a two piece design. That being said you will get more durability and good performance from the new model. Perhaps not as good as durability as other bats but acceptable for a hot senior bat.
BUT....I may have another little something , something in the works to improve all of that so stay tuned for more Miken news....

Thanks Allen and Bruce I purchased a 27oz psyco and hit at batting practice split 1/2 bucket of 25 balls each with 2-rounds and the 28oz end loaded Z2000 better in distance but was happy with the psyco. with the psyco I hit about 1/2 in the 320-330ft with several line drives off the fence, The Z2ooo was in the 330-350 range with several line drives at the fence and a few miss hits slightly over the fence. Both bats are good in my opinion but I will see about the durability. Thanks again, Mike.
