Shadow Rock Fields
I played in the 65AAA division and we were assigned the Shadow Rock fields. It was embarrassing to play on fields like this in a tournament of this prestige. Two of the fields are simply dangerous to play on and the other two are marginal at best for this kind of play. There were several hopefully minor injuries on these fields that can be attributed to the condition of the infields and grass (weeds) in the outfield (#1 and #2) I am told that these fields are always used in this tournament and that the cost to improve them is prohibitive. If that is true then the number of teams should be reduced and Shadow Rock eliminated as a venue. I know I am not alone in this opinion. Would like to hear what other, if any, reasons there are for using these fields.
