I'm 55, and still love the game. Played on traveling team in 30's playing 150+ games per yr. all over Midwest. Now live, and play, in Washington State and play in 70+ tournament games per year. Just looking to "talk senior softball" with anyone in U.S......Doug (bearfan1)

Doug,

Welcome, haven't seen you on this board before. I play with the Dallas Spurs, a 55+ team in the DFW area. Our only softball venture into the Northwest was the AA World Championships in Salem, OR a couple of years ago. We played as the Texas Tornado then. Any chance that we played against you? We're just cranking up our season here. Three tournaments so far, with another one coming up this weekend here in Plano, TX. We play mainly in the TX, AR, OK area and try to make one out-of-town national tourney each year. Fortunately, for us the SPA Nationals have been here for the last several years. This year we're planning on going to the SSUSA World's in Las Vegas. Maybe we'll se you there.

Doug: not sure how long you have been in WA., but around Seattle there is plenty of Senior Softball. If you are interested, there is a 25 team league that is looking for players. They play during the mornings & early afternoons. One of W.E. Ruth's Champion Team players is from your area and drives down to play. If you know Dale McLaughlin. Or, if you are interested, call Harlen Ward 253 833-9210. This is the Puget Sound Senior Softball Assn. and the league starts May 3rd. Minimum age, 55 yrs.
I know what you mean, I'm 67 & I play about 150 games per year with our travel team, Emerald City Masters 65's. Then pitch three fastpitch leagues with the 20-30 year olds, and play three Senior Leagues. Plus fill-in for teams on weekends we don't travel. Do it while you can. Jim 253 839-4055
