| April 28 Sturu 1 posts | We (Thermco) had the misfortune of attending the tournament in Myrtle Beach. The tournament director lied to us and other teams about the amount of teams (there were only 3 teams in the 50's) and ran the tournament with rules that he made up and he completely disregarded the rules of the organization who sanctioned the tournament. Myrtle Beach is a great spot to go to a tournament. Hopefully a new director can be put in place who will run a tournament the correct way. I would like to give kudos to the Chesapeake Pirates. They were put in a terrible position. They are a "AA" team and had to play Extra Innings and Thermco both major + teams. They lost all their games but gained a lot of respect for the class and style they showed. I do not think I could be as gracious as they were when they were put into this untenable position. By the way Thermco did win the tournament by beating Extra Innings 2 straight in the finals. |
