Dec. 26 sheik03 5 posts | It is my understanding that when a team wins a big tournament (like Vegas) that the team is automatically moved up one class for TWO years before the are allowed to move back down to the level they won their big tournament. Is this not correct? Well, if this is true could I get an explanation why MBA Elite 60's reclassified for this coming season when they won almost every tournament in 2014 at 60 Major and now for 2016 they are 60 Major again after only 1 year? Since ALL their players got Major Plus labels last year, dies this mean only 3 of those players are on the team this year and they have 9-11 players all rated major? As I said, just curious. Thanks |
Dec. 26 SSUSA Staff 3505 posts | Sheik03 ... FALSE base assumption on your part ... A team winning an LVSSA/SSUSA or SPA World Championship is raised one rating level (except for Major Plus) for ONE year, not two ... Please see the priority message post near the top of this page titled TEAM RATINGS • Guidelines & Procedures (Rev: 12/15/2015) ... The policy is fairly clearly explained therein ... |
Dec. 26 sheik03 5 posts | Ok how does that work for the player. When my team won at the Major level and got moved up to Major Plus, I was told that I had to carry the plus tag for 2 years. So does that mean that the MBA team for 2016 can only bring 3 players down with them to Major? Thanks |
Dec. 26 SSUSA Staff 3505 posts | If a team is subsequently re-rated downward, that downward adjustment affects all players that had the higher rating experience history, and their individual histories will be adjusted downward as well. In the case of the team you mentioned, one of the conditions to the move down is that they will NOT be allowed to add other players who still carry the Major Plus rating experience history. Generally, players carry their rating experience histories for two years, unless the entire team is re-rated, and then the new rating controls. If your team remained at Major Plus, then, yes, that rating history would be present for all players on that roster for the two full seasons. If you have specific questions about your team, please have your manager call the Sacramento Office and get a more specific analysis. Thanks for asking. |
