March 11 SSUSA Staff 3505 posts | Distance between pitching rubber and plate The official SSUSA pitching distance is 50' from the rear point of home plate to the front edge of the pitching rubber. Home plate is a 17" square with the two rear corners removed so that the front edge is 17 inches wide, the two adjacent sides are 8½ inches deep and the remaining two sides are 12" and set at an angle to make a point ... That makes the front edge of home plate to the front edge of the pitching rubber dimension 48'-7" (50' less 17") ... |
