Discussion: why won't SSUSA show teams entered ?

SSUSA has better online features that the other associations, (IE message board, online registration is easier etc) but....
They will not show the teams entered in a tournament.
I guess they are worried that teams will complain or drop out etc, but I say show the teams and let who wants to play get in. Why worry about a couple of teams that cause trouble instead of making things better for larger % of teams that play? I have talked to other coaches and players and they would like to see who is in the tournament. They also might be a team or 2 that will enter because they see there are more than a couple of teams in their bracket. You never can tell until you try.
SPA and ISSA have a list of registered teams on their websites for the tournaments.
SPA shows they teams entered as soon and they pay. (I like this the best)
ISSSA shows the teams after the deadline, but at least they show who is entered.
Please give your opinion if you would like to see the teams that are entered as they get in.
I vote to see who's in.. We are playing no matter who is in or not.
I just like to be informed.
Just my 2 cents worth.

coop ... We publish the teams entered Tab AFTER the entry deadline for all of our events ... Go to the tournament page and click the Tab ... We do not publish before that date because in most cases, over 60% ov the teams enter in the last 7-10 days ... If, for example, a couple of teams are in, and half a dozen others are thinking about, they will usually pass it up if that interim team count is available ... What could have been an 8-team bracket is now a 2-team best 2 of 3 ... Don't expect this policy to change ...

I will agree to disagree...lol
Another example is: If a team is looking for a tourney and they see 6 teams already in, maybe that would push them to enter .
There is always more than one way to look at things.
I also wish that all 3 associations would get together and schedule tournaments on selected dates to help get teams there.
IE: back to back weekends in the same area rarely see both tournaments doing well.
Maybe get them to have AA and AAA one weekend and Major and Major plus the other.
Just a suggestion.
I think bigger turnouts will be more beneficial for everyone involved.
It just will the heads of all 3 of the bigger associations to get together and make it happen.
I know the money is important, but the quality for the players should be the #1 priority.
And if more teams play, the money will take care of itself.
Just my 2 cents.
