To The SUMMIT: I just got an E-MAIL, on I.T.F. That stands for INJURY TRIGGER FACTOR.

This possible point really pisses me off is the 'injury trigger factor' (ITF). Some, but not all, assns may include this in their provisional language. As an example, you hit a ball that injures someone, the TD (or other official) will automatically confiscate your bat for testing... regardless of whether the bat appears suspicious or not.

SS-USA, is still test' a bat from last Sept. Thats, 5 months. I can just c players, wait' several months to get their bat back, because a ball took a bad bounce, the player was drunk, etc, etc. I AM SURE THAT WE CAN COME UP W/ MORE EXAMPLES..

Another bunch of CRAP. WHO, will be able to prove that a MGR, knew that a player had knowing brought or made a bat ILLEGAL or ALTERED.

BAD..... BAD..... BAD... RULING...... The STONEMAN.....

Stoneman: Hypothetical case.

I start a new team w/new players that I have never seen.
7 of the players, different heights & weights are Homerun hitters or hard line drive hitters. Now, how am I suppose to tell if their bat is doctored just by feeling or looking. Sure, I might be able to tell if it is more endloaded cause most 30 oz bars have about a 20" balance point, but I have NO clue if it has bee shaved. & I have no clue of the balance points of other ounced bats!!!!!

There are guys today, that are big & tall that can stroke the ball; there are guys that are short & slender that can stroke the ball.

Too much police work placed on a coach/manager/player that loves the game.

stoneman......I don't think you'll want your bat back after they cut it open. If they take it away and it is stock, they will probably just replace it. You'll have start all over in breaking it in.

SALIO 2K: That is not how, things r TO BE done; the follow' comes from ISA & SS-USA.

The Bat is sent in 4 TEST' & INSPECTION. If, after TEST', the 'power (s) to be', r not able to come to a conclusion; the Organiz' that sent the bat in 4 test', can do the following:

1) sent the bat back 2) ask the bats owner, if, the lab can open up that bat. At this time, it is to BE explain, that if,' that bat is found to have been made ILLEGAL, u r suspended. U will not get that bat back.....PERIOD.

IF, that bat is found not to have been ALTERED or made ILLEGAL, "we" ( that Orginiz') will buy u or give u money, in order that one can but a New bat.

Again, I just do not c one getting their bat back in only 2-3 wks.

Thank 4 the Reply........... ThE STONEMAN.....
