Feb. 23 MikeWatson Men's 60 5 posts | Can't find my ASA book - need some help! If you have 12 guys with all hitting (no subs) and player gets hurt, cannot bat or field, IS IT AN OUT EVERYTIME THAT PERSON'S SLOT COMES TO BAT FOR THE REST OF GAME? Assume the ASA and ISSA rule is the same. Simple yes or no is great! Thanks! |
Feb. 23 SSUSA Staff 3497 posts | Can't/won't speak to the ASA rule, but in SSUSA (since this is an SSUSA Message Board) it's an out only the FIRST time through the batting order where his spot is missed ... He may not re-enter and the batting order is compressed for the balance of the game ... |

Feb. 24 Fred S Men's 85 297 posts | ASA rule in 2011 book (Don't have a later one) Sec 4 D 2E "When a player who has left the game an out will be declared for each turn at bat. An inning or game can end on an automatic out. Not sure if this has been changed since then. |
