Jan. 23 TexasTransplant Men's 70 516 posts | Not aware of a senior league in Ft. Worth. There is one that will be playing in Irving this year. Here is a link to the league contact information on this website: https://seniorsoftball.com/?league=202 There are a number of tournament players of all age levels in that league. There is another league in Richardson, but that would be a pretty good haul from FT Worth. There is also a daytime league that plays in a number of cities in the Metroplex, including Ft. Worth. It has A, B, & C divisions. I believe you have to be over 55 for the A division and over 65 for the C division. Not sure about B. Lots of tournament players of all ages in the A division, although obviously the 55's are somewhat limited because so many still work. Here is a link to their website. https://seniorsoftballdfw.com/about-mscsa/ If its tournament ball you're interested in, there are several teams in the area that play in various age groups. Probably the best way to hook up with them is through these leagues. You'll have to cut and paste the links. This site doesn't let you post live links. |
Jan. 25 Birdman65 Men's 70 20 posts | There is a really good senior league that plays on Monday night in Arlington. Games are all double hitters. Game times are 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30. You play 2 of the 3 times and play 2 different teams. Most of the teams are made of guys who play senior tournaments. Age 55 (not 100% on lowest age) to 80 AA to Major Plus. Fort Worth also has a day ball team that plays on Tuesday and Thursday morning around the Dallas, Arlington areas. I played for Fort Worth the last year I was in Texas. Have since moved to S. California. I played in the Monday night league in Arlington with the Texas Legends. Who was a mix of 65, 70 and 75 tournament players then played with the 70s Major team. Great bunch of guys. Most of who also play in the Tuesday- Thursday day league. For Fort Worth or Alington. There are around 6 or 7 day ball teams that are around 45 minutes to an hour+from Fort Worth. I can't remember the age restrictions. If you are younger there is a men's league in Keller, TX that is on the North Fort Worth border. Lots of good softball in Texas for sure. The Monday night double hitters in Arlington is where I started and you can go from there as I mentioned almost all the guys who play Monday night's play on a day ball and tournament. Team. |
Jan. 25 Birdman65 Men's 70 20 posts | The Monday night double hitters are actually played at Mike Lewis park in Grand Prairie Texas. Its about 45-60 minutes from Fort Worth depending on where you live in Ft. Worth. The Monday night league should connect you with many good connections for playing softball in Texas. Good luck. |
Jan. 25 TexasTransplant Men's 70 516 posts | Birman, I believe the league that played at Mike Lewis park is moving back to Trinity View in Irving this year. |
