New softball

Hi All:

Just checking to see when that new SSUSA softball will be put into action. There are some good tournaments coming up so it would be nice to have the new ball by the time these get going. I understood the shipment was delayed for a while but by now they should have been delivered.

Thanks:

James

The ship was plundered by Somali pirates who are starting up a league in hopes of keeping the fellas occupied between hijackings.....seriously though, international customs is sometimes not smooth.

Yup, I know customs can be a bear but these softballs have been on the way for quite a few weeks. There is also some high level tournaments approaching so it would be nice to have all the new changes in place.

Thanks:

James

I ordered from BSN but you have to click on it through the link on this sites home page. When you log on their is and ad for BSN. I haven't got them yet or notified of being shipped so I guess the boat hasn't come in yet.

Found out why I never got mine. I marked P.O. instead of Credit Card which is why it was rejected. Re-ordered and they are on their way.

Hi Fred:

If you get yours Tuesday I hope SSUSA gets their soon also. It was 85 this weekend and the Stote even sounded like a mush ball. Will be great to see what difference the new ball makes.

Thanks:

We will know in the morning. I will be sadly disappointed if that is the case.

Whitey58: Your right they are the Stotes. Now I have a problem. Do I send them back as based on history they won't work very well in my Wheeler Dealer. The combination of synthetic cover and MC is a bad combination for the WD. Or do I open a couple and try them which probably if they don't work I am stuck with them.

I am confused on this ball. I ordered a doz "Trump SSUSA12" Leather" ball from BSN (click on their ad on home page). Confirmation said that is what I am getting. When I opened the box they were STOTE AK-MC-SS's with a composite cover which I didn't want. The Invoice and packing slip said Trump SSUSA12 Leather. I got an email this morning requesting me to review product. I went to review the product to say I haven't used them yet and neither ball is listed anymore.
I am not sure what to do with these balls. Reason I wanted Leather cover is that a composite cover combined with Micro-Cell don't work very well in my Wheeler Dealer. For an example Alan's MCT softballs are great but they don't toss very well in my WD.

Does anybody have any idea when SSUSA will be putting this new ball into play at the larger tournaments? It is nearly July with some important tourneys right around the corner in some hot weather areas and still no sign of the new improved softball.

What gives?

Thank You:

James

The "new ball Stote Micro Cell" has been used in the FHC league for the past 2 months with the SSUSA logo. So the ball is available, thus it is a business decision to use existing inventory of old balls. End of story!

Summer is official here! Where are the approved NEW SSUSA softballs? Any update would be appreciated by the directors/officers. They are in FL so they still can't be on the boat unless they are being shipped via the Mississippi. Thanks

The new ball is also being used in our league on the west coast. We are playing in a qualifier this weekend and the ball is a big topic of discussion. Everybody seems to have them except SSUSA. All I can tell you is the fact we are still using the old ball when the new one is radially available make you wonder how honest SSUSA has been to us customers.

Thank You:

James
