Aug. 15 MichaelK 3 posts | Hi, guys, I'm a fit 64 year old, 5'7" 160 lb.; fast (relatively!), good fielding, decent hitting (not for power), looking for a team. I would be best used at 2B or SS but can play outfield if need be. I just came out of playing in a men's church league where I batted over .400. My number is 615-957-0760. Thanks! |
Aug. 15 MichaelK 3 posts | P.S. I neglected to mention that I'm in Nashville. |

If you click on Leagues above and click on your state on the map or Mid-Atlantic, there are some local leagues listed. You might try that as a starting point to find softball players your age in your area. I also went to Ratings and clicked on the column State to sort it. The only team that I saw 60+ was a Major+ team from that state. However you are eligible to play on teams from the states touching yours, and Tennessee is the lucky one with 8 states along its borders. If I can be of any assistance, please let me know. |
Aug. 15 MichaelK 3 posts | Nancy, Thanks for directing my clumsy attempt at communication! Will do. |
Aug. 15 Nancy Allen Men's 55 1438 posts | MichaelK, you did just fine. I am here to help if you need it. Talking with seniors in your area is always a good start. Beyond local I can assist some. Hopefully you will also get some good input from others on this message board. It's fun to play with kids your own age. |
Aug. 15 dMON 28 posts | MichaelK, Fall season started last night (Tuesdays) in Hendersonville, TN. for league 60+. Contact Roy @ (615)300-3682. Text him, if no answer. Tell him you got this info from the SSUSA message board from Dale. Play Doubleheaders for next 5 weeks at Veterans' Park in H'ville. |
Aug. 15 dMON 28 posts | MichaelK, Dale again. They are always looking for players. They run well organized leagues of 45+, 56+ and 67+ in Spring/Summer. Usually a 30 game schedule with tournament to follow. Tell your friends. The numbers have dwindled lately. |
