2. Is the new Combat DA Bomb worth the money?

3. Is it a durable bat for batting practice and games?

1. The proper way to break in a new bat?
>> take some old balls, soak them in water overnight and then use them while wet to hit with - messy but it works well.
2. Is the new Combat DA Bomb worth the money?
>> you can find Combats on sale at many places on line
3. Is it a durable bat for batting practice and games?
>> if we are talking about the Anaconda bat - better than the U2 - if we are talking about the USSSA da bomp - no

Patrick....IF, ya buy a COMBAT....BP is about the only way to break it in...I DO NOT ...recommend using it as a TEAM BAT...NOPE!!! it won't last. Our team bought one a few weeks ago...lasted..about 3 weeks...end cap came off...yeah, we're getting it replaced...too many guys swinging it.........OH...rotate the bat too....what I was told..

team mate and I bought one....ONLY FOR US. RED tape on the bat...only for he and I.....

Good luck...

Please don't break your bats in like azsenior suggests. There is a lot of misinformation on the internet and that is about the dumbest suggestion I've ever seen. If you can't swing hard enough to break an egg you can do that. I'd break an UII with about 1 swing with that advice and I'm a wussy boy by the side of some of you guys. Use 44 375 synthetics and you'll do just fine. Trying to speed up the process isn't very smart.

Just go out and hit with it. Everyone has a theory/method of breaking in bats. I have never bought into this breaking in a bat theory anyway. IMO it is mind over matter. I have never noticed much difference between the 1st hit and the 10,000th hit. The only difference after a few swings is you get a better feel for the bat, which should give a little better performance.

I have 2 Mutants and I haven't noticed any difference in them from the day I got them. Same with all my PST's.

Just go out and play the game and enjoy it and forget about all the gimmicks.
