May 7 hombre Men's 60 240 posts | Many of you get the opportunity to hit many different balls. I would like a little feedback on which 44cor 375 compression balls give you the most distance. Thanks |
May 7 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Balls are not equal, but then neither ae the bats. Gary19 has it right though, the person swinging, is really the biggest factor. Put all three together right & you have your "most distance". |
May 7 the wood Men's 65 1123 posts | Hombre: In my experience, the 44/375 balls that travel the furthest are the Decker Sharks. If you had asked 'which 44/400 balls travel the best' I'd have mentioned the Dudley ZN series. In my opinion, both of these balls are under rated, meaning that they perform better than their stamp indicates. both of these balls hold up well over time, too (durability). The Dudley ZN balls are bat breakers... I had 'donated' quite a few good bats until I read about this on a previous thread. Among the worst 44/375 balls are the Diamond Flyers and the Worth Gold Dots. The Baden and Trump balls are somewhere in the middle, based upon our research. If you want to hit 44/375 balls with good bats and wish to be gentle to the bat, consider the Trump Stote. You can get them for $28/dozen on this website. ;-) Bob Woodroof |

May 8 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | In our ASA leagues, we use Worth Gold Dots. I agree with others that there probably aren't many other worse than Gold Dots. Some Senior associations use the Trump Stote. I thougth they were very good, probably because I haven't hit the Sharks or ZN's in quite a while. |
May 8 hombre Men's 60 240 posts | Thanks Fellas. I appreciate the positive,informative, nonsarcastic imput. Hombre |
May 8 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Dyna Core2 ( 900) I think thet's the number) are pretty good as well as the Legend Centerfire2's . Green and Grey dots are other worthless balls. Find a 40\525 and that will fly off most anyhthing. 47\525 are out there as well. |
May 8 OLDBUCK23 Men's 60 62 posts | Hombre, the best overall balls are any of the Trump Balls that have Micro Cell Technology (MCT). They especially perform heads and tails above any other 44/375 or 44/400 balls when it is hot (above 85 degrees). They are engineered to lose no compression in the very hot weather, which is what causes most balls to feel like a sock. I have read that for every degree above/under 72 degrees, most softballs lose/ gain 5 lbs of compression. The TRUMP balls also perform great in cooler temperatures. No ball is better, in my opinion. Kevin Schullstrom at Anaconda Sports / Trump Softball can give you the real skinny on their balls versus other balls at 1-800-327-0074 ext 210. The prices are the best, also. The worst of the worst that I have used so far is the A.D. Starr 44/375 Spirit ball. a couple of years ago ,our organization mistakenly used them in a pretty large tournament in 90 degree weather. The TD caught heck from EVERY team about those balls. |
