Below are the results for the Brickyard Classic:

50/55 Upper (A)
1. Travelodge
2. Windy CIty

50/55 Upper (B)
1. Motown Stars
2. Class Act

50 AAA
1. Indiana Classics
2. Brickyard

50 AA
1. Chicago Prime
2. Mitchell Foundations

55 AAA
1. Indiana Legends
2. Miller Lite Rhinos

55 AA
1. Indy FOG
2. Blue Chips

60 AAA
1. Mike Pruitt Auto
2. US Pallet 60s

60 AA
1. Chcago Classics Gray
2. Midwest ATP 60s

65 Upper
1. Indianapolis Classics
2. Indy 65

65 AA
1. Raymond James

Please note that the AA participation was as low or lower for some age groups as last year. Since there were only awards given for top two teams of each bracket, the AA ratings are for ranking purposes/bragging rights only since all teams were in the same bracket. The Major/Major Plus teams were split into two round robin brackets and did not play teams outside their bracket.

Hi Nancy, The only two things I hated about last weekend was the 50 minute time limit, our last game started when there was only 47 minutes left, and we were starting the game over 20 minutes early, i did not see the hurry to get the games in, if you have one or two big innings that is over half the time, I know we only played 5 full innings in 3 games, plus the top of the 6th and the other thing is I am not a fan of the flipping batting part of the last inning if you are behind, other wise, it was better ran tourney then in past years i thought, see you soon, Rabbit

ps- are you going back to South Bend (SPA) in 3 weeks? I bet they have forgot about the incident from 5 years ago, I know we will be there and Brickyard will be also.

Rabbit, for what it is worth, I agree with you. Unfortunately the time limit and flip flop are the concessions that Midwest sets forth that I have no control over. They also put in the 1-1 count which I really do not like. The park is run in a very business like manor, and scheduling is important to them. Of course they make more money at softball than any of us. If it were up to me, I would use 60 minutes, no flip flop, and a 0-0 count. The equalizer rules and the other qualifier rules are what I include, and I would be glad to discuss those. I will add this to the list of things that I give Tim for consideration for next year's tournament. Of course you should not tempt fate because who knows who might have won if you had made it to the 7th inning.

Our friend Steve was out at Midwest Tuesday night.

Is there a tournament in South Bend? ;-) I know that they have not had a 55 bracket for about six years. See you in Columbus.

Thanks Nancy, for answering, In South Bend I can not tell you if they have any 55's, we have not plyed there for the last 2 years, but since they cancelled the Louisville tourney this year, we are going up there since it is only a 3 hour drive, that gives us two tourneys in the month of June, which is enough. then on to Columbus the week following then we will be ready for the Championship trail starting inthe Midwest championships in Champiagn in early July.

ps- I also saw Steve,He gave me a call Tuesday and i met him in Columbus ,and we had coffee last night before our league game, it was good to see him, I told him we were coming out to Las Vegas in Late sept for the LVSSA Worlds , he told me about the tourney and what to expect, he thought we could do well in the tourney,

see you soon, Rabbit, Indiana Classics 50 AAA

Maybe Steve will be here for another 87 days? ;-) The oddest thing is that when the article came out, many folks here did not know that he lived in Nevada since they always saw him here playing ball.
