March 25 birdie Men's 70 802 posts | Nice to see all the results posted for the tourneys that just finished. Keep up the great work. Thanks Harry # 20 NVF. |
March 25 tall_thunder Men's 50 82 posts | Where can I found these result at. From this weekend. I've searched and can't find them. Thanks |
March 25 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | t_t ... They are available from links on the respective event Tournament Pages of this website ... NOTE: The Bullhead City & Kingman, AZ, scoring sheets are on an airplane back to Sacramento with a Director today (Monday) and should be processed in the next couple of days ... ALL scores from the Spring Nationals (Florida) and the Mesquite component (65+ and older) of the Spring World's are posted ... |
March 27 softballer Men's 65 594 posts | Seem like with modern technology and laptops they could be posted sooner |
March 27 HSquared Men's 60 147 posts | Pony Express and Typewriters...OMG |
March 27 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | softballer ... This has been discussed a bunch of times, but here's one more brief overview for you that might be helpful ... The current scheduling system is my solely developed custom effort over the past 15± years ... It's not on an Excel spreadsheet or Access database platform that would lend itself to instant updates ... Over the past 2½ years, SSUSA has commissioned computer programmers to [1] re-design and implement a new company player/team/tournament administration database AND [2] attempt to convert and encompass my proprietary scheduling system into that realm ... The second of those criteria is extremely difficult and complex because the new system technical criteria as defined requires the capability to export scores immediately into the teams rating database ... The goal is to eliminate the office staff having to enter all of the scores into the current company database ... To our knowledge, this capability has not been accomplished by any of the otherwise outstanding tournament schedule/scoring software companies ... We have not encountered any of those that can schedule multiple events annually with over 200 teams, especially the 625± team, 2,000+ game World Masters Championships ... Some really bright folks are working on this, and I'm hopeful it will work, but it's not there yet ... Thanks! |
March 28 tall_thunder Men's 50 82 posts | I've been checking, but no results yet. Am I looking in the wrong place, or are the scores not posted yet. Thanks |
March 28 HSquared Men's 60 147 posts | Rather than taking smaller incremental steps to deliver scores/standings (which players expect), they are still waiting for 2+ year old "developmental" software. Don't hold your breathe! |
March 28 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | tall_thunder ... Hard to answer your questions since we don't know what you're doing or where you're looking ... • ALL Spring World's Game Scores and Bracket Results are posted; • They are available from the links on the Spring World Championships tournament page of this website; • Go to that page and click on your age group in the center column of the page; and • You may have to "refresh" your download, since we have no way of knowing how your device(s) handle earlier versions of the same file name ... If you don't know how to do that, do what I do: I ask one of my grand kids, and it works every time ... Good luck! |
