May 2 BOURGEOIS Men's 40 18 posts | Dual States Dave, I know you have been asked this a million times probably and I have read the rules, but want to make sure I understand correctly, If I have a home in Colorado & Arizona and live at each place about 50% of the time, what is my eligibility to play for surrounding states? |
May 2 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | Dual States In a 50/50% deal, you have to designate ONE of those states as "primary" and one as "snowbird" ... We do NOT ask you to prove it with actual documentation, but we will advise you that the "Primary" will be the state that appears as your home address on your personal income taxes ... You may play for the home state AND it's bordering states ... You may also play for the snowbird state ONLY ... In your example, and assuming Colorado is the home state, you get the Colorado bordering states and Arizona (you get that anyway), but you don't get California because it's not bordering to Colorado ... |
