Hi too all, lets have a little fun this week, since it is almost time for the first of all the Nationals to start in July, lets have a preseason rankings of the Divisions and see how they end up in Oct. just list the top ten of each division, Major Plus, Major and AAA, only.
Please list them, this board has kind of died lately, not much going on.

One side note, I was at the USSSA NIT tourney in Columbus, Ind this past week, Resmondos out of Florida won it, they have to be one of the best teams (Major) i have ever seen play in the past few years, Shows you what money can buy, but the main thing I wanted to say, is how well ran this tourney was from my stand point , I just wish the senior tourneys were ran as good as this one, goes to show you it can be done if a little effort instead of worrying about cutting corners just to make more money, they had all the teams ranked accordingly and there were a lot of teams there also.
Has anyone seen Rusty Baumgardner play?,he is a great player and seems to to be real nice guy from talking to him over the past weekend. He has to be the biggest 2nd baseman I have seen.

I guess since over 500 people checked this post and no one answered , so I guess no one really cares?? So now I will post who i think are the best teams this year,, maybe we can get some dicussion this time.THis is only my opinion and I have not seen all of theses teams, just heard about them from other players, so here goes.
Only 50's teams listed
1. Al Estes-Florida
2.. Randy Smith-Ca?
3. Angle INN
4. Hollis
5. Travelodge Bear 50/55's
6. Ca Thunder
7. Sweet
8. Specialty Tank
9. Windy City (Chicago Classics RED)
10. Kittrel
11. Ploog
12. Lemay Trucking
13. Mac 11
14. Kelly's
15. Pine KNob

The rest in no order, waiting to get in the top 15
Sutton's/ Motown
Coors Light- StLouis/Ill
Carriage Homes-Ark
Midwest Express-Indiana
CA Thunder
TNT Sports
Kayson's Grille
Titan's -FL
Broward Bunch-Fl
Milwakee Merchants
Road Dogs
Roberts Construction
Indiana Classics
Max Spice-NY
Texas Legends
Team Houston
Great Lakes Fusion-Ohio
the old Stafford Team out of Cincinnati- I can not remember thier new name.
Brickyard Bombers-Indiana
O'Skool- Louisville ,Ky

These teams listed are all good teams and you have to play a very good game to beat them, a lot of them are about even teams,

This is a pretty good list, I do not know all of the Ca/AZ and other Western teams, because they never come East to play , same goes for the Eastern teams, most of them only play in Virginia, so I can not speak for all of them, maybe some one else can help out for the Far WEst and Far Eastern teams.

again, this is only my opinion to get a discussion going, since this board has very little discussions anymore, that amount to anything.

This one probably doesnt other, Ha

Ok Rabbit, I add some to this. Kittrel's broke up just before the Pensacola qualifier. Specialty Tank is no more. Now they are Hollis Appraisals 50's. The Sluggers should be mentioned here also. Kayson's Grille 50's are a good AAA team, depends if they are hitting. Kayson's Grille 55's (mostlly from Miken/Old South) should do well in Major, too bad they won't play many nationals. Barely Legal may knock out several in a national. I didn't see Conn. Sportsplex mentioned either. They are always in there when it comes to Sunday.

I re-read your post and see that only 50's were listed, sorry. So, you can delete Specialty Tank, they are now Hollis.
Pensacola Merchants are good, I just don't know if they plan to play in any nationals. I don't know if Sportsplex will play any as 50's.

Thanks Bruce, I did not know about the temas you told me, these teams change so much, hard to keep up with the names, but after you mention them I remember the names, been sitting here trying to remember them all. I know some of these teams are AAA, but they are the top ones I have seen, and can hold their own with the Major teams. Hope to see you soon, been a while, are you coming to any tourneys up North this year?

We'll be in Manassas for the ISF, Kansas City, Mo, for SPA, Milwaukee for USSSA and maybe St Louis for ISA. Also Vegas and Burlington. Hope to see you there.

I'll take a crack at the rankings based on experience and heresay. The season will prove out the best teams. Since i am associated with Hollis I could be biase in favor of teams that have beaten us, etc. etc.
1) Randy Smith LA - Incredible Power
2) Mac II CA - Overall great team, power, defense
3) Hollis FL - Assumes both 50 and 55 players are there
4) Kelly Sports NV - Good power and defense
5) Masters OR - Excellent team
6) Ploog MN - Big Power
7) Pine Knob MI - Good all around team
8) Travelodge IN - Up and coming
9) Seacrest Mavericks CA - typical CA team, good all areas
10) Al Estes FL - Great defense
11) Fins FL - Great defense, needs more power
12) Thunder CA - Good overall team
13) Sluggers FL - Huge Power, Up and coming
14) Pilchers CO - Excellent overall team
15) Motown Stars MI - Good group
16) Blitz FL - Good overall team

Please don't get offended as this is just from a limited ability to view teams. I will say this though. If the teams in Florida or California ever get together in their states and field the best players on one team, then i don't believe anyone could beat them as there are some great players spread out over about 5 teams in each state. The same could be said for Texas/Louisiana.
