Aug. 19 domer 36 posts | I have heard rumors that the 55 and 60 age groups will now be a four day tournament, can anybody else verify that? |
Aug. 19 Ollie4 Men's 60 8 posts | The Manager for my 60 major team has notified all our players of this change, so dispel the rumor, it is fact. |
Aug. 19 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | Ollie speaks the truth ... It's four days, September 17th thru the 20th ... The entries for the 55+ and 60+ Session #1 division have already exceeded what can be run in any semblance of a reasonable schedule under a three-day structure ... |
Aug. 19 HSquared Men's 60 147 posts | Thank you for advanced "heads-up". Is it yet known, what fields will (and will not) be in use over the four days? |
Aug. 19 SSUSA Staff 3505 posts | HSquared ... Session #1 (and #2) fields in St. George will be The Canyons (7), The Fields at Little Valley (4), Gubler Park (3) and Bloomington Park (2) ... The fields that won't be used are anything else ... Good luck! ... |
Aug. 20 coachgrahamaz 12 posts | I am personally hoping the 60AAA is at a different complex. It's nice playing at different parks at the big tournaments. This past weekend we were at Gubler Park. Thanks Dave. |
Aug. 20 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | Ron ... It's all about the geometry of the division sizes as they relate to games demand vs. field supply ... I try to "mix things up", but it's likely that some of the teams that played at The Canyons last week may be there next month ... There's actually more flexibility with the smaller venues for mix and match solutions ... We'll see! ... |
Aug. 20 Papajoe56 Men's 60 80 posts | coachgrahamaz, I agree... I hope the 60AA have the opportunity to play at a different complex for Worlds. Appreciate the opportunity to play during the pandemic, but would like to play at a better complex next time. |
