If you could win one tourney what would it be?
If you could win any senior tourney but it could only be 1, what would it be and why?

SPA! It consistently has the largest number of quality teams in the 55 major plus bracket and good fields. We've never won the LVSSA and it usually has a lot of the better teams but it has not used the better fields for our bracket.
We feel that to really feel good about winning a national tourney they must have most of the top teams there. SSWS had 6 teams in 2006 in Palm Springs. If there are less than 4 teams playing (major +) it hardly seems important to us.
When you have beaten 3-4 of the the best major + teams to win, then you have something to relish.

I would agree the SPA seem to have most of the top teams in your age brkt. this year in the 55 major we had 10 very even team in which any of the 10 could have won. the SSUSA is a close 2nd. NSA and the ASA far behind have not played USSSA in 2 years,

Having only played in the Huntsman Games, LVSSA NCSSA and SSUSA tourneys that were decent, it would be one that had GOOD & MAINTAINED fields, well seated teams, at least 5 games .....with that said, which is limited to say the least, of those Huntsman wins hands down actoss the board.
But the sandbagging brings theA++ down to an A grade.
Far too many teams play the seating games with one set of guys and then the ones that count with anouther group. But i'd bet that happents all over the place.

The sandbagging in the seeding rounds occurs less now that most of the national tourneys have the teams ranked in their proper divisions prior to the event. Obviously, there are exceptions to this but now that the 'play down' brackets aren't used as often the sandbagging is less an issue.
My previous post was primarily about the 55 major + group but we noticed that the 50 and 60 major plus divisions had a lot of teams, too... and, as Don Ward said, so did the major divions.
I didn't see them maintaining the KC fields all that much other than watering the infield and tamping down the batter's boxes. But there weren't many bad hops as I recall. As long as the SPA is centrally located I would recommend it if you like to see a lot of teams in your division.

I agree about the sandbagging, & as for Vegas's fields, some could sure use some work. and then there is nothing like playing the of and running into a light standard.

I have to agree with Dbax and pick the TOC for one reason. It's a given that you generally will not get a chance to play all the worthy teams in any particular division throughout the year. As the year progresses there are teams that you play that you build up a rivalry with in the different major tournaments. Usually each of these teams tend to split the tournaments in some sort of fashion - so who's the best? That's the one thing about the TOC that I really enjoyed was the chance to play against these teams once again and see who finally comes out on top standing alone for the "year".
Along with that every aspect of this tournament is/was top notch. The dinner for 2500 or so was a very special occaision and a big hit with the wives.

SSWC, NSA, ASA - in that order. Now if only Indy had a women's team. I have tried with the old gals; so I am lucky that the guys let me hang with them.

My list to win 1st- SPA-- 2nd- TOC 3rd-SSWC- 4rd-LVSSA- 5th NSA-- 6th SPA Winter I did not rate SSWC because we never play in the Nationals out West, just the Midwest and Eastern Nationals, which we would like to win, so I will put them 3rd.

I have no desire to play ISSA, ISA, ASA ,USSSA
