Aug. 1 Lokahi 105 posts | What balls will we be using in Aurora? Thanks in advance. 🤙🏽 |
Aug. 1 DaveDowell Men's 70 4326 posts | You'll be using .44 cor / 375 comp. optic yellow softballs ... Brand name and model number currently unknown and dependent on marketplace availability closer to the tournament ... |
Aug. 1 Lokahi 105 posts | I probably could have done without the first part of your answer. A simple to be determined would have been okay. |
Aug. 1 DaveDowell Men's 70 4326 posts | The first part of my answer is a significant component of that answer ... There are some who advocate different cor/comp combinations in the quest for ease of acquisition, but we believe it's important to reiterate that our favored .44 cor / 375 comp. specification will not be changing ... To some players, that assurance is significant ... If you could have done without that part of the answer, I guess that's fine, too ... |
Aug. 2 NYGNYY 215 posts | Always appreciate the “ball” conversations. In following these conversations this is the first I’ve heard about changes to the cor/comp being discussed because of the situation we face with suppliers. Glad to hear we are sticking with 44/375. Looking forward to hearing what the market place has to offer. How did the ball perform in the Westerns. That conversation last month on this board was very interesting. Keeps us/me entertained. Thanks |
Aug. 2 AJC Men's 60 218 posts | NYGNYY, just got back from the Westerns. The AD Starr was used this weekend. There was a little drop off in the afternoon when it got hot ( was over 100 both Friday and Saturday ) but the ball was an improvement over the ball that was used in Reno. I heard no complaints about the ball this weekend unlike Reno. |
Aug. 3 domer 36 posts | AJC I agree, not the best but a major improvement from Reno. Didn’t hear any complaints |
