Nov. 16 ZMan33 Men's 65 14 posts | Why didn't you update the tournament results in real time? The ISSA uses Quickscores.com I think you should consider the same. |
Nov. 16 DaveDowell Men's 70 4322 posts | ZMan33 ... We have researched and considered Quickscores, including multiple comprehensive correspondence back and forth and a cordial phone call with their C.E.O. ... We believe they are a very good company and offer an excellent product for the right type of tournament provider ... They're fine for a promoter of smaller ISSA-type events, but simply don't fit efficiently for the 200+ team type events (Southwest, Reno, Winter World's) or, obviously, the 650± team World Championships ... They also (currently) don't have the super large three-game-guarantee brackets (65 teams and up) or 3GG's that provide for conditional "If" games in the Elimination Brackets and the ability to roll the effects of those un-played "If" games automatically into alternative time slots ... This is a pretty complex set of minimum criteria ... |
Nov. 16 ZMan33 Men's 65 14 posts | What if anything are you considering to keep an update in real time of your tournaments? As a fan it is incredibly frustrating to not be able to find out what is happening in a tournament. |
Nov. 16 MartyM Men's 75 56 posts | Also add in game times and field numbers would be super helpful. Came close to a forfeit when the paper board at the complex(Century Link) was different from the website. Other than that, compliments to the staff for well organized and managed tournament. Nov. 16 TimMcElroy 942 posts | Hi Marty, Once the tournament begins, everyone should be checking the master bracket board (on site) to confirm start time or field assignment changes. The change you are referring to impacted bracket game times. It was made while we were still in the seeding portion of the tournament and all teams were instructed to "check the board" as they entered the park. Thanks for bringing your team to the tournament. It was good seeing you. Tim |
Nov. 16 ZMan33 Men's 65 14 posts | I am speaking as a fan who wasn't at the tournament. I wanted to see the results as they were unfolding. I was able to see the results in real time at the ISSA tournament the previous week in Sanford. |
