Aug. 7 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for Session #2 (Men's 40's, 50's, 55's and 60's and the Women's Division) of the 2007 California State Championships in Roseville, CA, have been posted and are available from the links on the Home Page ... As always, these schedules are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "Official" at the Manager's meeting the evening before play commences ... The Master Schedule Grid and the Participating Teams List have also been updated ... Good Luck to all! ... DAVE |
Aug. 7 Foothills Men's 55 95 posts | The 50 Major division is dissapointing Not any teams except ODB`s And MTC . Not worth the effort . I for one am going to call the coach and recommend we take a pass on the tourney . Unbelievable , that there is this small amount of interest . |
Aug. 7 Jano23 Men's 65 97 posts | What's the deal with the lame AA HR rule in the 50AAA division? One HR per game / outs. |
Aug. 8 Jano23 Men's 65 97 posts | Sorry - I didn't mean AA is lame, I meant that the HR rule is lame. Let me rephrase that: What's the deal with the lame HR rule in the 50AAA division? |
Aug. 8 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | Jano23 - That would be a very LAME typographical error on my part! ... Sorry about that, and it's already been fixed to the correct "1 + 1-up, Singles" ... Thanks for pointing it out ... DAVE |
Aug. 8 Jano23 Men's 65 97 posts | Thank you, Dave. You guys have been doing a GREAT job getting the tournament info out early. |
Aug. 8 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Dave, Singles or a WALK, it will make a BIG difference. |
Aug. 8 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | taits ... SINGLES ... Every runner currently on base when an over the fence "single" is hit advances one base ... They do NOT hae to be forced, as would be the case in a 'walk' |
Aug. 8 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Dave, I thought the advance 1, was the reason they made it an out for AA. ?? Seems like a double standard there, But personally, can go with either. |
Aug. 8 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Don't set your alarm clocks guys, sched is being re done as I write this....(for other than 65\70's) |
Aug. 8 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | taits ... The AA "1 per team per game, Outs" rule was changed to that a couple of years ago. It's primary rationale was that a true AA player (one that isn't more properly a AAA or higher player) may rarely hit a home run, maybe as rarely as once a career. The intent was to allow that player a moment of glory and let him have that one without being just an out. The ASA "D" rule, which is a rating analogous to our AA is extremely harsh. There, the player is out and the half inning at bat ENDS at that moment. It can be a real rally killer I would presume. |
Aug. 8 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Dave, Thanks, I was aware of that. Started all this for others who may of not been aware. Oh well. Why the revamp of the 60's? |
Aug. 8 Duke Men's 65 908 posts | Quit your crying Jano. You only have warning track power. LOL! Just kidding! Have a great time and have fun! Andy :-) |
Aug. 8 Jano23 Men's 65 97 posts | I know Andy. I was just thinking of the guys on my team who CAN hit 'em. :-) Jano |
