Cowboy Bill:
My parents were married before my birth so I was ineligible to play for Campbell's Carpets. I did, however, play against them many times... they were a Nor Cal team. although most of their players were from elsewhere. We were a So Cal team... plus a couple of Phoenix guys.
I take it that you played back then, too. Funny thing, I have a brother named 'Cowboy Bill'. He was the ring bearer for my parents' wedding.

Wow.... You asked the $64,000 question. Who is the Wood. SalioK gave us some basic information but there is really so much more. Don't know if anyone wants to add any further information for Bill but this post could be fun for those who know Woody to throw their 2 cents in. He certainly wouldn't hesitate to jump all over this if it was about someone else. I've known him for 25 years. Played with him and against him. I would throw this out. Woody has never met a guy he wouldn't try to confuse with irrelevant banter.

Hey Wood, Good to hear you have parents. The Wood I'm looking for is from Orange, Ca. He was in Insurance for some time. Maybe for his own protection. If anyone knows of this "Wood" tell him Howdy.

You got enough of it correct... I was in Anaheim, not Orange (unless you meant Orange County)... played for Capitol, not Campbells.
Who would you be?

DocSwear:
Nice try, Meat! Mix in a French Crueller and call me on Monday if the symptoms persist... which they will, they have for 25 years.

It was Capital. Sorry, I'm getting old. I played for the UP and the Pub. With your brother and you sometimes.

I'm doing well, in spite of myself. As you can see though I am still short of meaningful relationships... Docswear is one of my best friends and even doesn't like me. :-)
Give me a holler...
