California Fires
3 Days ago I was sitting in my garage getting my gear ready for Phoenix. Today I am watching anxiously at the path of these fires and the devastation they are leaving behind . We are one of the more fortunate ones since our home is in a low fire area, but I know for a fact that there are many of you that are not as fortunate. To my teamates and fellow senior ballplayers here in Southern California, our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Mike.....I echo your thoughts and sentiments to all of the senior players and families from the California area. The Top Gun III team has three players that have had to evacuate their homes and many more that are keeping a close vigilence. It really brings it close to home when it effects people close to you. To one and all, stay safe and we'll see you in Phoenix. Kevin Evans Top Gun III

As of today (Thursday), I haven't heard of any Senior Softballers here in SD being burned out, despite the fact that quite a few live in the outlying (hardest hit) areas.

Most, if not all, games Mon, Tues & Wed were cancelled. Setting aside some guys may have been standing guard over their homes, the air not fit for athletic activity, Games were played today and I suspect from now on.

The citizens of San Diego are to be commended for their generosity and volunteer efforts. People didn't wait for the governement to help out those in need. Whenever it was announced a shelter was about to open the cars started lining up with food, water, cots, etc. Quite a site to see.
