| Aug. 28 STONEMAN Men's 50 535 posts | INJURY REPORT: I have been asked by Len: AirBosuun@aol.com, if, I had info on SENIOR PLAYERS injuries that were caused by BATTED BALLS. Len, would like our input for the SPA meeting in JAN. The myth that many players have & are getting hurt from thrown or batted balls can be laid to rest. Please, remember that ones good bats & playing games w/ a good ball is @ stakes. E-mail Len or go to this message board during the next 6 months & tell of such injuries, etc. Three wks ago, a SS took three bad balls off his forearm. I asked Rick, & Rick, stated that all three balls took bad bounces because the infield was hard as a rock & had a crown @ SS. Info on field conditions, type of ball, bat, & weather would be great. If, someone has better info, please, come forward. From my reseach over the last 6 months, I can find only one article that states that THROWN or BATTED BALLS cause a very small % of all BASEBALL or SOFTBALL injuries. |
