Feb. 18 mlsb11 1 posts | I am a USSSA director in NorCal & I was going to run a 14" tournament for men. It seems to be too early for some of the teams. I have an open date & will run a 50 & over 3GG tournament for 6 to 8 teams. $50.00 from every entry fee will go into a pot & split 60% - 40% for 1st & 2nd place. If 14 inches is the ball, there isn't one unless you mean the Clincher which is 16 inches Normal softballs are 12 inches, the 11inch are referred to as little or womens balls. Unless i missed something in your post here. |

Feb. 19 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | I used to have a small 16 inch league in Fresno back in the early 70's, 6 teams. Just haven't seen any 14 inch balls around my area. |
Feb. 19 CRUSADERVB Men's 70 275 posts | I PLAYED 16" IN CHICAGO AND WISCONSIN ALL THE TIME, I ACTUALLY LIKE IT MORE THAN 12". 14" WAS BIG IN WISCONSIN, TOURNAMENTS AND LEAGUE PLAY |
Feb. 19 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Perhaps it they used a 14" ball less would be dropped in the OF, more to hit the matt and a bigger target to hit...lol I sent Chris a note. |
Feb. 19 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | On second thought, a bad idea, using one all the time, there would be another "rule" to learn or get used to.... |
