There have been significant schedule changes for the Palm Springs Spring WOrld's for teams scheduled at the Big League Field of Dreams on Thursday through Sunday ... Some of these revisions were required by the loss of previously allocated game time slots at BLFD on Sunday and others were in response to suggestions and concerns made by certain teams in certain age groups and divisions ...

The effective date of the current schedule set is 03/04/2008 (all prior versions should be discarded) ... The changes are ...

• 60-PLATINUM - Thursday Round Robin schedule has nominal changes caused by the the effects of a 60-Silver team's inability to meet its first game times

• 60-MAJOR+ BEST 2 OF 3 - Field and game time changes for Friday Best 2 of 3

• 60-MAJOR BRACKET - Changes to game times and field assignments for Sautrday end of Bracket

• 60-SILVER - Round Robin changes due to one team's inability to meet it's initial first game time ... Minor changes in both the 60-AAA and 60-AA Brackets on Friday at DeMuth Park

• 50-PLATINUM - Former Pool Play into Playoffs for 50-Major abandoned ... All teams will play a blended Round Robin on Friday morning, with Major+ teams playing 3 games each and Major teams playing 2 games each ...

• 50-MAJOR+ - Best 2 of 3 Championship series moved to Saturday only ... "If" game at 6:30 PM

• 50-MAJOR - Eight teams will now play a conventional Three-Game-Guarantee Bracket instead of Pool play ... Bracket commences Friday afternoon at BLFD

• 50-AAA - Format of full round robin into Championship Game remains the same ... Game times and field assignments have been changed on all three days

• 50-AA - Format of double round robin into playoff remains the same ... Game times and field assignments have been changed on all three days

• 55-Major - Format of full round robin into Championship Game remains the same ... Game times and field assignments have been changed on all three days

• 55-AAA - Format of full round robin into Championship Game remains the same ... Game times and field assignments have been changed on all three days

• 55-AA - Format of double round robin into playoff remains the same ... Game times and field assignments have been changed on all three days ... Semi-Final game now moved to Saturday evening

• 40-MASTERS - Format remains the same, full round robin into Championship game ... Schedule modified now for three (3) games on Saturday and two (2) on Sunday ...

We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may have caused ... Good Luck to all!!!

Dave - thanks for the schedule update. We've heard rumors that your group was working on allowing the Ultra II at Big League Dreams for this tournament. Can you tell us which if any Senior bats are legal for us at BLD: Ultra II; Senior Combat; Worth Launch; or just the bats BLD approves for its league play? Thanks

BigLefty33- The BLFD bat restriction applies ONLY to the Miken Ultra II ... All other otherwise legal Senior bats are premissable, including the ones you mentioned. To date, BLFD hasn't changed their position on the Ultra II despite our encouragement to do so.

MINOR REVISIONS - SATURDAY AT B.L.F.D.

There have been minor revisions to the Saturday schedule at Big League Field of Dreams ... These revisions were made to accommodate an earlier end to the 60-Major Division bracket ... In addition to the 60-Major Bracket, the following Divisions had changes to the SATURDAY (only) Round Robin games ...

50-AAA
55-MAJOR
55-AAA

The Friday and Sunday schedules for these Divsions remain unchanged ... The online schedules and the Master Games schedule have been revised accordingly and posted here ...

Good luck to all ... DAVE
