Bobby been following your posts and all your fun stuff threw the yr. Wondering how good your memory is. Back about 30 yrs ago. Do you remember a team called Anaheim Merchants? or Little Big O. We played your team Capital quit a few times. Fenced fields you guys killed us. Open fields we won a few. Also believe ---if memory is right --your team played in a doulble headed league at Daute park or field in Daute. We battled their a couple of seasons to----CAPITAL INSTUATION----excuse spelling and grammer------what a great team that was. Guys i can remember are FRANK R. catcher HANK K. 3rd BLOND HAIR JERRY PLAYED 2ND i think MIKE COX, and MIKE F.-outfield GARY H i think outfield and of course your do everything guy spiderman--- You guys made GATORADE--excuse spelling---what it is today with as much of it you drank. My name is sonny beavers and i dont expect you to remember me. Players i played with were SKIP YOUNG--DOUG PETERSON-JIM DERRINGER--CRAIG DICKIE--RICH COXS-MICKEY MISE---GORDON BARGER(PACKY) i still remember 1 tourney in phoenix where you guys kept bouncing home runs of that old water truck behind the left field fence. You guys always had 8 guys who hit the ball 9000 ft and the other two batted 800. Well anyways thats when all tourney's were dbl elimation and the Bombat was the hot item. I just got picked up by So Cal Gusto and hopefully both are teams will be at same tourney and i'll look you up and say howdy-----Sounds like you still playing great softball with your GSF team. Good luck this season and stay health. Feels good to see some players i use to play with and against still getting dirty at the game we all love. Take care.

Yes, Sonny, i do remember those days... I occasionally see the Westphal twins (no realtion to the Galvan twins) and Ron Knaub. But I do believe that you exagerated a little bit... :-)
Gordon 'Packy' Barger went to high school with me and he helped me get into the financial services industry 33 years ago. Doug Peterson is still playing (Mustangs 55s).. I sometimes wonder what is up with Craig Dickie... i haven't seen him in damn near 30 years.
We had a party in Nov and quite a few of the old Capitol guys came... Hank Kosmala lives near Morro Bay... Mike Cox died 18 years ago today (cancer)... The Jerry that you mentioned could have either been Gadette or Ryan... Gadette is not playing ball but a lot of golf... if anyone reading this knows how to reach him, please let me know... he was one of funniest guys that I have ever played with. Spider is still with us (GSF) when he isn't running marathons, coaching/reffing water polo/swimming... Frank rodrigues just plays golf now... same old Frank. I do not remember a Gary H... you don't mean Barry Watkins, do you?
I know most of the guys on your Gusto team... it's great to hear from you, Sonny. where have you been all these years (last 30)?
Skip Young? I first knew him from the Anaheim Bar league... had the worst set of teeth that I'd ever seen... he gave a totally new meaning to 'three up and three down'... you didn't meantion Kent Cooke.
Blond hair Jerry must be Jerry Hamilton who now lives in Idaho.
:-)

Unbelieveable---Spiderman is still with you what a small world---Please tell that guy i said Hi and glad he is still doing his Water polo thing --thats really great. Yes it was jerry hamilton and the Gary i was thinging of i believe his last name was heffner or heflin. He was a guy i believe Capital picked up in Arizona and hit the ball a Mile. he hit one over my head one time i didnt even move and i was playing him deep. One of the longest homeruns i had ever seen at that time. Fun u mention the Anaheim Bar league ---That was first time i ever played softball and dave and bobby westphal played on that team----team was HONEYDOLL BAR and skip young played for the TIKI ROOM---BOBBY YOUR MEMORY IS GOOD AND SHAPE. So sorry to hear about Mike cox and also that sweet shortstop ---i think donnie that passed away about 1 yr ago or less 2 Great Great players and iam sure was a great loss to softball world. And yes Kent cooke was are shortstop if i remember right ----great player and Barry Walkins --i played with him in a Fullerton league with the westphals--Geez i could go on forever---So many good times. Craig Dickie loved that guy last time i seen him was way back at San Deigo toun and i think after that he played with you guys --CAPITAL --for a while not sure how long----wood this is getting long and i enjoyed your reply---i get back to you again when my fingers start working again---lol---take care for now and again good luck

Sonny, I do remember the Honeydoll... it was on Lincoln, west of Anaheim Blvd... i played for the Czech Inn, Anaheim Hofbrau and the Back Door Room... Bill Brotherton played for the Honeydoll... but we're now back in the very early 70s... so to speak.

Heflin's first name is Jim... haven't seen him in many years... maybe 25. His son plays now and is pretty good, i'm told.
Yes, Donnie Furnald died 3 years ago... big shock to one and all.
nice taking to you...
