DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for Session #2 (Men's 40's, 50's, 55's and 60's and Women's Divisions) of the 2008 Rock 'n Reno Challenge Cup have been posted and are available from the links on the Home Page ... Here are a few comments about the schedules ...

• There are 124 teams in Session #2 playing a potential of 373 games, which brings the total for the tournament to 172 teams and 526 games over the six-day run ...

• The 172 teams (an increase of 41 over 2007) is also the highest in the 20+ year history of the Rock 'n Reno event, and is surpassed by only the World Championships on the SSUSA tournament calendar ...

• All Men's teams (except those playing in Carson City) have been scheduled to play at least one day at the new Golden Eagle Sports Complex facility in Sparks ... We hope you enjoy this new state-of-the-art 6-field all-artificial-turf softball complex ...

• The schedule is a very tight one, resulting in a variety of different formats to accommodate the larger than expected Divisions ... In fact, excluding the 'end of day' rounds of games, there is exactly ONE discretionary open game slot over the entire six days on all facilities combined (For those that are curious, it's at 9:30 AM on Field #5 at Carson City on Friday!) ...

As always, these TENTATIVE schedules are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "Official" at the Manager's meeting the evening before play commences ... The Master Games & Fields Grid has also been updated and posted ...

Thank you all for your participation ... Travel and play safely, have fun and Good Luck to everyone! ... DAVE
