Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerrated
Sounds like I missed some fun this weekend.
I hear someone posted what was supposed to be an email of mine.
First, I never saw it.
Second, any personal business contracted by me
off this site with any other individual is my business
with that person alone.
And third, as in Desert Guy, I make no response to people
who don't show enough respect to me and others
by failing to disclose their true softball identity.

First, you saw it when your wrote it.

Second, once you send it you lose control of where and to whom it travels.

Third, what exactly is a "true softball identity"?

Gary,
You declined my invitation to meet and talk with you at the Black Worlds
not far from where you live.
You've declined to discuss this thing you have for me off line away from everyone
and that's where this will stay from now on i.e. between you and me
and away from the board.
You're wasting everyone's time and won't show up
and be accountable for yourself and your accusations.

And you clearly don't want to be accountable for your emails.

Again, what is a "true softball idendity"? Is this something like Bruce Wayne being Batman?

Mr. einstein- Not sure what you mean by "softball identity" but here goes. I am a registered ssusa player. I play for an Arizona based 60's team and live in southern Arizona. I play the infield. I use an Ultra II but seldom hit the ball out of the park unless it's foul. I play because I have for over 30 years and we have a great bunch of guys. I don't play in the major or major plus divisions. I bat right and throw right and most people say I field pretty well. Can't think of anything else that would be part of a softball ID,

Personally, although it's none of your business, I am almost retired. Have spent my entire career in education, am married and have a few kids. Just like 4x4, one of your possee (that's a southwest term I presume you understand) posted in the thread that went away, I am careful about how much information I release to the entire world here. That's why my birth name and my e-mail address remain items I give to people that have earned it. It also prevents receiving unsolicited e-mails on any topic of discussion.

We've had this discussion before and it's certainly got Dave snoring already
but many interesting studies show that anonymous behavior and reactions
significantly differ from identifiable behavior and reactions.
I prefer the kind of reactions given and gotten when people
are identifiably involved in interactions of any importance.

And those studies are probably no less interesting than ones describing the use of the internet and information derived therefrom as an enabling device for unsavory behavior. I'm accountable to this community, both within the Board itself through what I post and outside the Board as it relates to any interaction I may have with its members. Seems as though you "may" have not performed quite so well in the second of those areas.
