With all the talk about pitcher safety, here is a Thanksgiving thought.

Plastic face mask-------$20
Jock & cup-----------------$ 8
Soccer chins guards---$12

Total cost $40

Safety-priceless. Say you have 15 guys on the team and each kicks in $2.25 each to cover the cost of the mask and chin guards and whoever pitches can use it. It would probably not be a good idea to share the jock and cup!

Cup I have always used.
Shin guards since I got one off my ankle last year.
Face mask. I don't know. Haven't got to that point yet. Thinking about it though.

One other thing you might consider is using a heart guard.
Seems to me I heard of a guy who took one in the chest and he's now playing for St. Peter..
