Feb. 27 thebull Men's 50 59 posts | I'm looking for a good quality shin guards for pitching. Local stores carry a poor selection and I don't want to buy online with out some recommendidations. They need to be light, easly taken on and off and be compact yet still provide good protection. Looked at soccer guards and motocross guards neither of which would work well. The baseball shin guards I've seen are too bulky, look more like Ice Hockey Goalie guards. Any Ideas? thebull |
Feb. 27 GT Men's 60 162 posts | thebull I got mine at Academy in Houston. Umpire shin guards. Light weight, not expensive. You can hit and run with them on. So far they have protected me from direct hits on the shins with no problems. Just my 2 cents GT Houston |
Feb. 27 bulldawglost Men's 60 27 posts | thebull: Ditto with GT except I cut the knee cap off. I could never find a shin guard that was either substantial enough or was difficult to remove. The umpire shin guards worked very well. I got mine at Dick's Spoting Goods. |
