So far this:
Interesting take on PPR for this, they said only line drives hitting pitcher within box, batter is out, others (grounders) are in play...
So, is a one hoper a grounder...I'd say yes.
Here is a line from the rule: "Short hops striking the pitcher are now encompassed by the PSR."

These game-casts by the Softball Magazine crew were taped at the 2008 Tournament of Champions in Polk County, FL under playing rules in effect at that time. All four of the championship games from that day, 13 months ago, were played at the Diamondplex Sports Complex in Winter Haven.

My point on the Hr was, it beats an out.
The PPR may have been different.
Must have missed any other pitcher comments.
