What a great weekend it was, weather wise, to play ball in Virginia! I'd like to thank Dave, Fran, Kevin ( from Anaconda Sports ) the umps and all the folks who worked so hard for us maintaining the fields. The competition in the 55 AAA division was very good. A tip of the hat goes to all of the guys on the Motion team, who played their hearts out after going through a week in which one of their players was seriously injured. And also, to a great team and a classy bunch of guys, Sweet Const.Great tournament guys. See you in G.B. this week.

High Street Bucs, congrats! It was a lot of fun. No matter who was up or down on either day, it seemed both teams tried to get more fun jabs in.

I agree, the tournament was great. I particularly liked the continuous maintenance of the infields at both complexes but especially the big fields. Best i ever seen. Fran and Dave you get an A+.

umpires were very good. Only heard of one issue with an incorrect call on the Pitcher Protection where supposedly a ball was hit up the middle and the pitcher raised his glove over his head to catch the ball and the ball glanced off his mit and the umpire called the batter out. I wasn't there but heard about it. I have seen this in the TOC in January. the umpires need to be clear and on the same page as the players on what is in the rules.

Joe, If this is the one that was called for me the ball was not over my head. Ball was chin high and I got my glove up and deflected ball over my head when I got knocked down. Finger got cut and swollen and that why I could not play the field Sunday. I did not ask for the PPR to be called. I do not care if the PPR is a rule or not.

Great job Dave and Fran. Field maintenance was the best.

Sweet is agreat as always. Motion you guys just do not quit.

Hope to see all in Glen Burnie
