The 50's, 55's and 60's are playing strictly on the weekend. There are just two days to get 27 teams their guaranteed six games each. There are five fields at the CT Sportsplex complex and the tournament must be complete by 4:00 PM on Sunday to accommodate the existing baseball schedule.

Because of the limitations a round robin seeding format will be utilized followed by a variety of championship rounds. If it's two teams in a bracket the championship round will be best-of-three. If it's a small bracket (three or four teams) a conventional double elimination championship round will probably be played. The larger brackets will play single elimination championship rounds with some also offering consolation play to meet the guaranteed game total.

The 65'5, 70's and 75's will be playing Monday thru Wednesday. This group has fewer teams and will play over three days. The first day will be a three game seeding round. The final two days will offer a modified double elimination (three games guaranteed) championship round.

The tournament schedule will be published during the first part of this coming week. The schedule will be distributed to each team via e-mail.

50's Majors: I give that VA Diamond team the edge. Last time I saw them play the 14th or 15th hitter hit a 2 run HR (last guy in order). Rumour has it they were racking up some runs in Glen Burnie this weekend. Anyone have any info? Good team.

Hey Wagon, here I was hoping to boost your morale a bit, but it appears that DP6 knows you well! LOL ☺
