Brickyard Qualifier
I would like to thank the grounds crew at Midwest for all of the hours put in Friday night and Saturday morning to get the fields playable on Saturday morning. The NSA NIT that weekend could not even start until 4:00 because of the rain. Now a lot of this goes to one of the differences between private and public parks. The $3 gate fee helps to fund things like a great grounds crew, and they have really been challenged the last month with the rain. I would also like to thank Timmy and Cliff for their efforts also in making this run fairly smoothly. There were some issues with some of the umpires that the NSA provided, but the PPR was really the only problem, but I am not getting on a soapbox here. There was a lot of great competition and very few complaints other than the one mentioned. Midwest will provide me all of the results later this week, and I will put them here. Probably my favorite team of the tournament was W-Tailgaterz, a 70 team from Michigan; they were truly a class act. I hope everyone had a great time, and I will post the results as soon as I get them.
