Just my opinions!
I had to start a new discussion, because I could not add to any existing ones tonight. I guess that I need to be monitored, like the "Ding" for Southwest airlines. LOL! No big deal.

Gary, thanks for the offer, but I think we are going. I might entertain the idea outside of SSUSA some time in the future, if my team is not playing. I love playing and one of my daughters lives up that way.

Zonk, I am there for you 100% and congrats on a job well done. As far as I am concerned, your championship is equal to any level of play. I have played AA and AAA, and those times have been very special and fun.

There has been a lot of talk about combining Major with Major Plus. Whether you agree or not, unless there are some clear cut rules to equal the playing field, this would only yield many Major teams to go play elsewhere or disband. I have heard that some 55 Major team won the LVSSA over several Major Plus teams. Congrats! Honestly, I have to applaud those 55 Major teams that did not attend. I was going to say something when this discussion first came out about where are the other Major teams, but it really should have been said, where are the other Major Plus teams that LVSSA was allowing to sign up as a Major team. Yes, a 55 Major team won, but if my old memory serves me well, every team in that tournament bracket was an SSUSA Major Plus team or a former Major Plus team. Sometimes SSUSA has us playing Major Plus teams in seeding games, but when it is time for bracket play, we play only SSUSA rated Major teams, and that is good. My team, Over-The Edge, and similiar teams cannot compete nor defend 15 or more balls hit over the fence per game, nor can we hit that many over the course of 3 tournaments or more, unless the wind is blowing strongly. Knock down the fences and we will play you even up.

I am so tired of the complaints and bickering, that I would be just as happy to play leagues in my area and forego tournaments completely. There are leagues out here 6 days a week, and on the 7th day, there is batting practice. If the the tournament teams were like my Wednesday league, everyone would have fun and not complain. On Wednesday they reform the teams every 6 months and try to even out the talent on each team. If one team is too dominating, they fix it. Therefore, all of the teams have pretty equal talent, and it is fun to play with other age groups and skills, and not look down on anyone. It's a great bunch of guys to be around. That's getting a bit off the topic.

That is all I have to say, so go ahead and rip away with your comments, because I am done with this message board for a couple of months.

Double Nickels,
