These balls were tested in a TOC All-Star game earlier in the year, remember?
I spoke with a couple of the guys
who were there, Bogie, Pete
and some others and the consensus
was that the ball, just like Kevin said,
wasn't good enough for seniors.
Why do it again.
You'll just come out with the same results, right?
Maybe not.

To protect my huge investment
I would send better balls, this time,
wouldn't you?
C'mon man.

The standard 375 x 44 core ball we've been using has gotten worse, been dialed back steadily over the last couple of years
out of fear.
We saw it at SPA, and even in NorCal
in Turlock.
Someone's been going around
dropping dimes
working over time
trying to scare
the beejeesus out of us
and the industry
and it looks like he's been
doing a pretty good job of it.
The standard of the 44x375 ball has
moved down more closely to where the high end of the new
52 x 275 ball will be.
Maybe the guys in Elk Grove will feel
their pretty close.
And then it will be done.

We will be completely done.
Out foxed, out witted and robbed
in broad daylight
of the game we sweat for,
won and lost with,
broke bones in
and love to play.

Still think I'm not making sense?
