Read the post Terry H. started:
Rumors about Balls
Bottom line to his message:
"The final decision on using the new balls will be made by the SSUSA Rules Committee in December at the SSUSA Annual Convention in Nashville after all of the testing is completed."

The 52\275 balls were not name for our game, So why worry. Was stated by the maker many times.
These balls to date, have NOT receives a "welcome to the senior game" or the like, in any post I have read.
If, in Dec they do decide to use them, it will only hurt those who choose to do so. We\you can always decide not to go to their tournaments.
New year starts in Nov, so there would be another announcement, I'm sure we would be looking forward to reading...lol.
I can only wonder which independent tournaments Terry means in his post.
My experience buying balls from a now out of business company. I could buy specific cor\comp balls.
If I wanted another cor\comp stamped or none I could get that on them.
Not saying this goes on these days with any maker, but I had choices. Who knows, I may have received balls that were not even what I really wanted. After all, who here can test a ball's cor\comp? The way I, we judge balls primarily is distance and longevity. Unless you add seam size, stitch color, ball color and cover type.
Don't worry about it until Nov.
Local tournaments may be a problem all over with regards to the testing referred to.
All the hype brought it to where it is. A pain in the ass.
Maybe if ASA uses it, they will allow the U-2's and the like. After all the ball and good bats equal an ASA level of play in so many words. Like that is what we need. Yea right.
