looking at the ratings on this web site, for the 60's group: here is the breakdown of classifications: the MAJOR PLUS has 16 teams total, 6 in the west, 6 in the east,4 in the central area. MAJOR: has 29 teams 10 in the west, 10 in the east, 9 in central., AAA has 108 teams overall, not broken down, AA has 109. WHAT DOES IT MEAN.? major plus and major teams have to fly all over the country to find their equal competition, if you are sponsored, that's great, if not , then it's getting too expensive to play. if you stick to playing only in area tournaments , you wont find the competition to stay sharp. AA & AAA teams prefer not to play the bigger boys. this is a definite problem. it also shows that the association gods have got to take care of AA & AAA as most of their income will come from them. i am sure there are other ramifications in this stats that i dont see. what do you think?

Armiho211, in the 60+ a lot of guys could play major. Most of these guys play within the system of AA or AAA ie. you do not hit a ball out of the park even though the bases are loaded and a breeze is blowing out. If you do not play this way you may find yourself out of softball because there is no place (a team) you are allowed to play in tournaments with.

CRUSHER,you are correct, there are a few guys playing AA / AAA that are strong enough to play MAJOR/MAJOR PLUS, but the no HR rule in SPA & SSWC forces you to keep the ball down, this creates another problem, at the AA level the infielders, pitchers may not have fast enough reflexes to handle the shots, creating a poss injury problem. CRUSHER, are you guys playing in TULSA this coming weekend,5/20? i understand there will be 8 total teams there in the 60's. SEE YA!
