Hey People, just wondering if there might be an SPA team headed to Marietta who might be in need of an extra player.

Looking for AAA/AA team. I am from Birmingham area. left handed, pitch, catch EH, RF, 500--700 hitter on a good day. Steve 205-647-2881

Sorry, left out age. I can play 60's (60 in August), 55's, 50's. Maybe, slightly above average player, who just loves to play.

Greetings, Southpaw. This may or may not pertain to your situation, but a number of my friends have talked about playing for a different SPA team when their team doesn't plan on going to a particular tournament. This might keep some of them out of hot water. According to the SPA rule book: A player is frozen to a team roster as soon as they participate for that team in an S.P.A. sanctioned event. Once a player is frozen to a roster they may only make one (1) move to an unqualified team during the surrent season and they cannot return to their original team. Players that are going to play in the same age division are required to play in the same or higher classification level.

A player is reqired to fill out an official S.P.A. Player's Release form prior to participating with another team in an S.P.A. sanctioned event. The form must be sent to the team manager and the S.P.A. National Headquarters. This form must be received in the S.P.A. Headquarters prior to the player participating in another S.P.A. sanctioned event.

I hope to see you in Marietta, Hombre

Hey Hombre, thanks for your concern. I am aware of that info. I played on a 60/over team the first part of the year--just wasn't a good fit, so I am actually looking for a a permanent situation. However, I know it is late in the year, so not likely to happen. I was hoping maybe someone just might need a fill-in for Marietta at least. Thanks.
