MINOR REVISIONS to the Session #2 Men's 50-Platinum (only) Seeding Games have been made and posted here ... No opponents were changed, but certain games were moved to Friday to (hopefully) avoid first round bracket rematches on Saturday afternoon from the same potential match-ups in the morning games ...

Hi Dave:

I am wondering why in the 50 AAA division there are only four teams and it is stretched out for 3 days? One of the teams if from BC and another from Idaho and two from Washington. I just can't see any point in a four team tourney taking three days? Am I missing something?

Thank You:

James

It's called keeping EVERYBODY in the community to stick around to spend MONEY. SSUSA don't care. It's not their money.

Compliments to SSUSA for doing a nice job of updating the standings in the tournament. Being able to see the results on-line is great.

Hi All:

I would like to say this was a very well run tourney and a blast to play in. I was fortunate enough to meet some very good people including Dave Dowell and Einstein. My wife thought I was nuts to play ball 16 days after knee surgery but when she could see how much fun we still have playing this game she will never doubt why it means so much to us. I take my hat off to Second Wind for taking the AAA trophy home as they truly deserved it.
The new HR rule is still a hot topic and a great majority feel it will cost participation in major tournaments.

Thank You:

James

Thanks James. Your guys continue to push us to bring our best and this weekend we did. No doubt in my mind these SSUSA events are the best hands-down. We need more in our area so we can play SSUSA more often. Why play where rules and ratings are suspect, pickups are rampant and/or bats are unnecessarily restricted?

Lacey may be the perfect location for 3-4 SSUSA events next year including qualifiers and at least one championship event. It appears there continues to be some decline in young men, women and coed, opening the door at other venues around our area. It takes hard work and it starts in the fall and winter, when cities and parks accept applications and $deposits$ for dates through the coming season. We could use some help! Remember someone takes on the financial risk and works their butt off to run these things and I still don't believe anyone is getting rich. I certainly am not!

I'll save my comments on the Home Run and Pitcher Protection Rules until November 1st.

Shane V.
