No MIKEN ULTRA 2's??
Miken Ultra and Ultra II’s are NOT ALLOWED at Field Of Dreams
Can someone explain the reasoning behind this, especially for a 60+ tourney?

According to the general manager in Manteca the corporation, which I believe owns most of them, he stated it was an insurance decision corporate wide.
That was about 3 years ago I had that conversation, But from what I have heard since, they have not been allowed to use that particular bat to date.
Sure, there are other bats just as good, imo, but there were a fewer than there are now.
If you're planning on attending a tournament located at n BLD or FOD park, you should ask the TD or call the particular FOD\BLD park and find out yourself, rather than be "surprised or disappointed", when you arrive.
This is also mentioned in the flyer for that tournament, last line.
Hope that helps.

But they allow the Senior Combat, both the original grey and the new yellow/white. I wonder about their(BLD/FOD) reasons?? Sounds like to me they don't like Miken Corp.

When the policy was enacted, those bats did not exist...
Just hope they don't keep up with the tech.
Reason was as stated, Insurance ie; liability. Even with the 2 mil policies.
I used basically the same policy they had for the privately owned park here and it worked well.
That was what my discussion was with them. We talked for about 45 mins on just ins.
But if the players feel they NEED a U-2 to play, something is wrong. I have used my original but about 5-6 times in the last 2 years.
It's not needed to be a good hitter (batter). The hitter needs to hit.
I wonder if they check the kids leagues bats...that would be an interesting find.
