| Aug. 5 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for the 2009 California State Championships in Yolo County, CA, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament Page ... As always, these TENTATIVE schedules are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting the evening before play commences ... The schedule format for the 2009 "Cal-Cup" is somewhat of a departure from the usual Friday tournament structure of SSUSA administered events. In Session #2, the Men's 60-Platinum and Men's 50's Divisions will be playing ALL THREE of their Round Robin/Seeding games (two of those teams will play four games) on Friday prior to entering the brackets on Saturday ... This was done to avoid having to secure a third playing site for Saturday and Sunday, a circumstance that inconveniences the players as it relates to hotel and travel plans ... The schedule is very tight, but certainly acheivable ... Please be present and ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled game time ... DRAFT Game Schedules & Brackets (PDF's)• Men's: 40's | 50's | 55's | 60's | 65's | 70's and 75'sNOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager's Meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters discussed there, including Schedule, Rule and/or Tournament Format changes ... | Aug. 7 SSUSA Staff 3505 posts | MANAGER MEETING SCHEDULE The evening before play begins at 7:00 PM at the Woodland Sports Park Community Center. Session #1 - Men's 65's, 70's and 75's (Meeting Room) Team registration (Managers only) from 6:00-7:00 PM before the Manager Meeting. Session #2 - Men's 50's, 55's and 60's (Gymnasium) Team registration (Managers only) from 5:00-7:00 PM before the Manager Meeting. Men's 40-Masters Manager Meeting and check-in at the fields of play at 9:15 AM Saturday morning. See Director |
| Aug. 10 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | MINOR REVISION - MEN'S 60-Platinum There has been a minor change in the Friday evening Men's 60-Platinum Seeding Game schedule ... • GSF (60-M+) has asked not to play their 5:00 PM game vs. River City Outlaws (60-M) • River City Outlaws will replace the Animals and play the Diamondbacks, also at 5:00 PM • Animals will not be required to play the 'exhibition' game, which would have been their forth game of the day. These revisions have been posted online, but will not be reflected in the Tournament Official Program, which went to press late Friday. |
| Aug. 11 DaveDowell Men's 70 4323 posts | SESSION #1 REVISIONS have been made to implement the weather related (heat) schedule modifications requested by the managers at the Monday evening manager meeting. • Correction to Tuesday afternoon schedule error • Shift of one previously scheduled Thursday morning bracket game in 70/75-Gold to Wednesday afternoon • Shift of Thursday afternoon bracket games in 65/70-Gold to Thursday morning on a previously un-scheduled field (Woodland Healthcare Field) Good luck to all! |
