| Aug. 14, 2009 armiho211 Men's 70 367 posts | question on cracked miken ultra 2's i see "cracked" miken ultra 2's offered for sale on ebay ocassionaly, average 20 to 25 dollars, QUESTION : WHY ARE PEOPLE BUYING THESE BATS FOR ?? i have 6 in my garage, WHY ? NO IDEA, JUST SEEMS THAT I CANT THROW THEM AWAY. thanks. |

| Aug. 14, 2009 Gary Heifner 248 posts | I wouldn,t pay for a broken bat but I take broken ones and rap the cracked area with the mesh stuff you repair wall board seams with and gorilla clue. It makes a very good batting practice bat and you can save your game bat. I have had them break in only a hundred swings and some have lasted for 8-10 good batting practices. Hit the ball opposite the crack. |
| Aug. 16, 2009 Corky Men's 55 435 posts | Wondered when someone would bring up .............."Gorrilla Glue".......I know of guys who have used this glue because it penetrates the carbon fiber and can be sanded back to a smooth surface after it has expanded. Some have reported it extended the life of their bat by 50%. Is this an altered bat??? |
