There has been a minor revision to the "Tentative Field Assignments" for the 2009 World Championships in Phoenix next month. Teams originally scheduled to play in Scottsdale will still play in Scottsdale, but not as tentatively scheduled at Vista del Camino Park. Those teams will now play at the brand new Grayhawk Park Softball Complex, in what will be the first event at the facility.

The revisions affect the following age and ratings groups:

SESSION #1 - Friday, 10/16/09 through Sunday, 10/18/09
- MEN'S 40-MASTERS - Grayhawk Park Softball Complex

SESSION #3 - Friday, 10/23/09 through Sunday, 10/25/09
- MEN'S 55-MAJOR PLUS - Grayhawk Park Softball Complex
- MEN'S 55-MAJOR - Grayhawk Park Softball Complex

The Grayhawk Park Softball Complex is located at the SW corner of E. Jack Thompson Peak Pkwy. and N. Hayden Rd. Parking lot is accessible from Jack Thompson Peak Pkwy., behind the Boy's and Girl's Club of Scottsdale (at 78th Place).

The nearest Host Hotel to Grayhawk Park (book through the PHX Housing Agency) is:

The Message Board post earlier today (Wednesday) about changes in the 65-AAA Division playing facility was in error. The 65-AAA Division will play at Caesar Chavez Sports Complex as tentatively scheduled. All field assignments for the 2009 World Championships, for all three sessions, may now be considered FINAL. Thank you.
